ABOUT US

We are also a member of Parentkind, a charity that champions parents so that they can participate in our children's education and school life to the full. Parentkind are also the largest membership body of Parent Teacher Associations and other parent groups in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The JRSA have three clear aims in the work we do:
-
Build strong communications between parents/carers and our school leadership team.
-
Encourage social engagement between families and students through events and open communication.
-
Raise funds for students and departments to empower them better in or with their learning.

The Charity is chaired by Eve Daniels and Neil Kennett Brown, it has a strong board of Trustees with a range of skills and commitments to the school.

We have the support from many parents and carers in the John Roan Community and have a strong team of people committing to different ventures. Currently we have an intensive fundraising campaign to enable the John Roan to bridge the IT gap for students without their own home computers. We must give a special mention to our Marketing and Communications team who are busy with social media, marketing and press relations. Thank you to Caroline Knight, Livy Gibbs, Hilary Lawrence and Trish Bullen for continually promoting the John Roan and circulating our message.
